academic Integrity policy
- Academic Integrity is being accountable to yourself and others to do your work to the best of your ability. The faculty and staff of The CTM Academy take academic integrity seriously. Academic integrity is, but not limited to, not:
- Giving, copying, or doing an assignment for another student without teacher approval
- Using Artificial Intelligence to complete an assignment, test, or quiz
- Googling answers to assignments or quiz/test questions
- Plagiarism - using someone else’s work without giving them credit (including other student’s work)
- Having someone else do your work
- Copying and pasting information from a website into your assignment
Students who have violated our Academic Integrity policy will be addressed accordingly:
- First Offense: Teacher will notify administration. The teacher and/or administration will talk with the student to help the student understand what they have done violates our policy and is unacceptable. Parents will be notified by email or phone call. The student will be allowed to redo the assignment with academic integrity for full credit.
- Second Offense: Teacher will notify administration. The teacher/administration will talk to the student again. The student will complete the assignment again with academic integrity to earn 50% of the earned grade for that assignment.
- Third Offense: Teacher will notify administration. The administration will again talk with the student and their adult. The student will receive a 10% reduction in their overall grade for that class.
- Fourth Offense: Teacher will notify administration. The administration will again talk to the student and their adult. The student will receive no credit for that class
